strategic recruitment plan

A Strategic Recruitment Plan identifies the tactical efforts most likely to engage teachers drawn to your school’s teacher value proposition.

With a strong Strategic Recruitment Plan you will be able to:

  • Use Recruitment to Strengthen Hiring - strategic recruitment efforts will grow your candidate pools and strengthen your appeal to those candidates in the pool

  • Strengthen alignment between the school’s culture and the teachers that are hired - upfront clarity on what you are promising new hires will attract teachers who understand and appreciate the benefits of teaching at your school

THE DETAILS

  • Gowan's expert consultants will interview key personnel to collect all of your schools policies, practices, protocols, and results related to recruitment. If there is not already a teacher value proposition, we will lead the school in developing one. Then we assess the effectiveness of the collective recruitment efforts and compare them to national best practices.

With this information and analysis we will develop a multi-year plan to attract more candidates to the school and to improve the quality of every the candidate pool in every search.

  • The discovery process takes between 3-4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the school's efforts around recruiting and hiring and faculty. The analysis of what we find during the discovery phase typically takes 2 weeks. Finally, we will spend another 2-3 weeks with the Head of School - or her/his designees - to ensure that our report "fits" the school.

  • The cost to the School depends on the complexity of the school's employment processes (do certain departments hire differently than others? Do different divisions have different hiring protocols?), which impacts the length of the discovery phase. On average, though, the audit can be done for $4,500 - $5,000 (plus travel expenses).
