strategic retention plan
With a Strategic Retention Plan, your school will be able to focus energy and resources on the factors that will keep faculty feeling valued and motivate them to invest their talents in the school in an ongoing way.
With a strategic retention plan in place you will be able to:
Gain clarity on the key levers of your workforce life-cycle efforts - by measuring factors like environment and culture, as well as more tangible factor of compensation, you can determine what is most valuable to your professional community
Improve faculty retention - with clarity on the levers that are most impactful, you can focus your faculty retention efforts more effectively and efficiently
Align the phases of your workplace life-cycle - seeing how the faculty’s experience over time aligns with the value proposition you used to attract them to your school originally enables you to strengthen that alignment, eliminating “holes” in your workforce life-cycle
THE DETAILS
-
Gowan's expert consultants will interview key personnel to collect all of your schools policies, practices, protocols, and results related to retention. We will also use key informant interviews, focus groups, and faculty surveys to get an in-depth understanding of your school's status quo .
We then compare what we find to national best practices to draft a multi-year plan driven by internal data (we will develop the metrics for you to use) to improve faculty retention.
If school's wish, we can extend the scope of work to include an annual service to measure change over time.
-
The discovery process takes 8-10 weeks. The analysis of what we find during the discovery phase typically takes 3 weeks. Finally, we will spend another 2-3 weeks with the Head of School - or her/his designees - to ensure that our report "fits" the school.
-
The cost to the School depends on the complexity of the school (plus travel expenses).
