Villa Maria Hires Gowan Group in Their Search for a New Head of School

Villa Maria in Stamford, CT has selected Gowan Group to lead the National search for a new Head of School. Since 1962 Villa Maria has been a quaint, K-9 private, Catholic School dedicated to educating children with learning differences. Gowan Group will continue to guide Villa Maria through June, 2016. Stamford, CT is a vibrant, shore community in Fairfield County within an hour distance from New York City. Gowan Group is so impressed with all this school does, especially how they cherish the relationship they have built. The School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated educator with distinct experience with learning differences. Confident and capable, the new Head of School will lead a strong faculty, established curriculum and dedicated Board of Trustees.

How Can Schools Use Data to Increase Retention?

We held our final webinar of 2015 yesterday. In conjunction with AISAP, we presented on implementing a powerful and innovative retention plan. After all, reducing attrition and increasing retention is half the battle in admissions. Our approach to retention involves a three pronged attack: research/program evaluation, team alignment and marketing the strengths of the faculty. This is a forensic and strategic approach which demands focus and patience, but since it is grounded in research and goal oriented, it will produce significant results on several fronts. Feynman School Chooses Gowan Group

Feynman School in Bethesda, MD has selected Gowan Group to mentor their founding partners in governance, fundraising, program design and marketing. Gowan Group will continue to guide Feynman School through January, 2016.

A new school of five years old and approximately 60 students, Feynman is a small school by design as its mission is focused on teaching students who are designated as gifted learners.
